Steps

Create Your Form
  1. Go to Gmail and sign in with your Triton (Student/Employee) email account.
  2. Select the Google Apps button and select Forms. You may need to scroll to find it.
  3. Select Blank to create a new form.
  4. Enter a form title and description.
  5. Select Untitled Question and enter your first question.
  6. Select the question type from the drop-down menu.
Google Forms Question Types

Choose the question type that best fits the information you want to collect:

  • Short answer: Allows users to enter a short response, such as a name or email address.
  • Paragraph: Allows users to enter a longer written response.
  • Multiple choice: Allows users to select one answer from a list.
  • Checkboxes: Allows users to select multiple answers.
  • Dropdown: Allows users to select one answer from a dropdown list; useful when there are many options.
  • File upload: Allows users to upload a file to the form.
  • Linear scale: Allows users to rate something using a numerical scale, such as 1–5.
  • Multiple choice grid: Allows users to select one answer per row from a set of options.
  • Checkbox grid: Allows users to select multiple answers per row.
  • Date: Allows users to enter or select a date.
  • Time: Allows users to enter a specific time or duration.
  1. Enter the available answers or options, if applicable.
  2. Turn on Required if users must answer the question before submitting the form.
  3. Select Add question (+) to add another question. Repeat the process until you have added all necessary questions.
Customize Your Form

Use the icons in the top-right corner to customize and review your form (from left to right):

  • Customize theme: Change the form's colors, fonts, and header image.
  • Preview: See how the form will appear to users.
  • Settings: Configure options such as who can respond, whether email addresses are collected, and presentation settings.
  • More: Access additional form options.
Share Your Form
  1. When your form is complete, select Publish
  2. Choose who can respond to your form:
    • Anyone with the Link
    • Edmonds College email accounts (Other students)
  3. Ensure Editor access is restricted to you and any relevant editors.
  4. Before sharing your form, use Preview to submit a test response and make sure the questions and settings work as expected.
