IT Service Desk Alderwood Hall Hours of Operation

The Chromebook Checkout Program will end after Spring Quarter 2026. Please review the information below carefully.


If You Would Like to Check Out a Chromebook

If you are enrolled for Spring Quarter 2026 and meet the eligibility requirements, you may check out a Chromebook for the duration of Spring Quarter.

  • Devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • All Chromebooks must be returned by July 2nd, 2026 (end of Spring Break).
  • Please return devices to Alderwood Hall 103 at your earliest convenience after the quarter ends.

If You Currently Have a Chromebook Loaner

Enrolled for Winter and Spring 2026

You may continue using your Chromebook through the end of Spring Quarter.

  • Devices must be returned to Alderwood Hall 103 once the Spring Quarter ends.
  • Devices will be locked once Spring Break starts 

Not Currently Enrolled

If you are not enrolled in any classes, please return your Chromebook as soon as possible to Alderwood Hall 103.

I have data on my Chromebook that I need before I return it. What should I do?

The IT Service Desk can assist you with backing up or retrieving your data before you return your device.
Please visit Alderwood Hall 103 for assistance.

Can I check out a Chromebook for the Summer Quarter?

No. Chromebooks will not be available for the Summer Quarter.
All deployed Chromebooks will be locked after the Spring Quarter ends.

What other resources are available?

Students may use the following campus technology resources:

Edmonds College Library

The Library provides several technology and study options during open hours:

  • Computer Labs available for student use
  • Study Rooms available during open hours
  • A limited same-day checkout Chromebook program (devices must be returned the same day)

Edmonds College Computer Labs

Student computer labs are available in multiple locations across campus. These labs provide access to college-supported software and printing services.

Edmonds College Virtual Computer Labs

If you have a device that does not support the software you need (for example, if you have a personal Chromebook and need to use Microsoft Word), you can access college software through the Virtual Computer Lab.

The Virtual Computer Lab allows you to:

  • Use specialized academic software
  • Access Microsoft Office and other required programs
  • Connect remotely from your personal device
