Troubleshooting Printing Problems
Review the following article to learn how to troubleshoot printing problems. Before troubleshooting, the basic troubleshooting we recommend includes:
- Restart the printer
- Locate the power button or switch on the printer
- Power the printer off, wait a few seconds and power it back on
- Remove and re-add the printer to your computer
- Open Windows Settings
- Select Devices
- On the left, select Printers & scanners
- Locate the printer you are troubleshooting and click on it
- Select Remove device
- Once removed, proceed to the Search bar on the bottom left of the screen
- Type in: \printers
- Press Enter
- The list of campus printers will appear. Locate and double-click on the designated printer
- After a few moments, you will be connected to the printer and you may try to print again
