EDMAIL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


NOTE: The information below applies to all returning and former students with an EdMail account (@edmail.edcc.edu) registered before Spring 2021. If you are a new student registered from Spring 2021 and forward, activate your Triton ID to access your new Triton Email account.

What Is My EdMail Address?

Your student email address (called EdMail) will consist of your:

  • First initial of your first name followed by a period (.)
  • Last name
  • Four random numbers
  • Followed by: @edmail.edcc.edu
Example: Name - Edward Triton
EdMail address: e.triton1234@edmail.edcc.edu

Go to the EdMail Account Manager to retrieve your EdMail address. Existing students using EdMail must set a new password before logging into their account.

You will need:

Your Student ID number (SID): 95X-XX-XXX
Your Personal Identification Number (PIN): Date of birth (MMDDYY)
Example: January 2, 2003 = 010203

How Do I Set/Reset My EdMail Password?

Go to the EdMail Account Manager to set your EdMail password.

You will need:

Your Student ID number (SID): 95X-XX-XXX
Your Personal Identification Number (PIN): Date of birth (MMDDYY)
Example: January 2, 2003 = 010203

Is My EdMail Password Case Sensitive?

Yes. EdMail recognizes passwords based on upper and lower case settings.
Example: If your password was set to secret123 and you entered it as SECRET123, EdMail would not accept it. You would need to type the password as secret123 in order to log in.

Where Do I Login to My EdMail Account?

In order to access your EdMail account, log in to Google Mail.

Why Is My EdMail Account Taking Me to Gmail?

Edmonds College is a Google campus and we utilize the Google Suite for our applications. For this reason, your EdMail account is accessed through Gmail.

What Is My SID?

Your SID is your 9-digit Student Identification number. If you do not know what your SID is, you will need to contact Enrollment Services.

What Is My PIN?

Your PIN is your Personal Identification Number. By default, it is your date of birth in 6-digit form (MMDDYY).

Example: January 2, 2003 = 010203

I Cannot Log in to My EdMail Account. What Should I Do?

If you currently have an EdMail account and you are unable to resolve issues logging in, proceed to the EdMail Account Management Tool to set a new password for your account.

If you have already tried this and still need help, please contact an agent by submitting a ticket.

Who Gets an EdMail Account?

Students registered for/after Spring Quarter 2021 will NOT receive a new EdMail account and may not request one. All newly registered students will now manage their new Triton Email account using their Triton ID. Existing EdMail accounts will be discontinued on August 31, 2021.

Is the Login Process the Same For EdMail and Canvas?

No. The login process for EdMail is separate from your Canvas login as they are different accounts.

Canvas Login

Username: Your 9-digit ctcLink ID number (ex. 201xxxxxx)

Password: Created when activating your ctcLink account

EdMail Login

Example: Edward Triton = e.triton1234@edmail.edcc.edu

How Long After I Graduate Will My EdMail Account Remain Active?

You will be able to access your EdMail account even after you leave Edmonds College (effective until August 31, 2021). If you are a returning student (registered before Spring 2021) and you are experiencing issues regaining access to your EdMail account, please contact an agent by submitting a ticket to our IT department.

I Am No Longer a Student at Edmonds College. Can I Deactivate My EdMail Account?

To request for your EdMail account to be deactivated, please submit a service request to our IT department.
